BRIEF PERSONAL HISTORY: Anchorage, Alaska; a young Sarah Crumley and her husband Jack had been waiting a long time for their first child to come into the world, at two weeks late Preston was born on March 21st, 1982 in the early morning. His father was pleasantly surprised when Preston, their first child had turned out to be a strapping young man. He was a tall and rather chunky baby that brought such joy to his parents with his loving nature. He was the perfect child to have as the first in line and to set an example for his younger siblings. His family was tight-knit but always on edge. His father was a fisherman and always gone and his mother was always in her own world trying to find happiness while raising her children. The couple moved to Crocker Park, South Carolina trying to start fresh and save their marriage. Counseling didn’t help it had just pushed her into the arms of another man which resulted in her last child and only daughter, Paige. Jumping into protective mode as soon as his baby sister was born, he made a promise to the tiny infant that he was never going to let her get hurt. Throughout the years Preston stuck by that promise and screened her boyfriends while he stole his brothers’ girlfriends.
During high school he wasn't the most popular guy but all the girls seemed to love him. They all thought he was one of those deep sensitive quiet types but he wasn't, he used it to his advantage to get any girl that he wanted. In all honesty he wasn't a deep sensitive man, he liked to party with the best of them all while collecting sci fi things and obsessing over the x-files. He was quiet about his ways and didn't do them to act out or to rebel he just did it to do it and to enjoy his youth. In college he was the same way, getting almost any chick that he wanted to to be with him and partying up and still managing to get good grades while the prof's stated that he was a shining example of what all of their students should be. It was funny to him that no one was the wiser of how he truly was. He has someone of a manipulative nature that some could confuse for traits of being a sociopath. When he graduated college he secured a job as an elementary school teacher, at the very elementary school that he attended as a child. He currently teaches third grade and wouldn't trade it for the world.
PERSONALITY: Preston has very strong inter-personal skills, and often finds himself in the role of the peacemaker. Since he makes decisions by using his personal values, he is usually very sympathetic and concerned for other people's well-being. Usually he is quite generous and warm. Preston is very observant about other people, and seems to sense what is wrong with someone before others might, responding warmly with a solution to a practical need. He may not be the best advice-giver in the world, because he dislikes theory and future-planning, but he is great for giving practical care. Definitely a spontaneous, optimistic individual, he loves to have fun. If he has not developed his Thinking side by giving consideration to rational thought processing, he tends to become over-indulgent, and places more importance on immediate sensation and gratification than on his duties and obligations. He may also avoid looking at long-term consequences of his actions.For Preston, the entire world is a stage. He loves to be the center of attention and perform for people. He's constantly putting on a show for others to entertain them and make them happy. Preston enjoys stimulating other people's senses, and is extremely good at it. He would love nothing more than for life to be a continual party, in which he plays the role of the fun-loving host.
He loves people, and everybody loves an him. One of his greatest gifts is his general acceptance of everyone. He's upbeat and enthusiastic, and genuinely likes almost everybody. Preston is unfailingly warm and generous with his friends, and he generally treats everyone as a friend. However, once crossed, he is likely to make a very strong and stubborn judgment against the person who crossed them. He is capable of deep dislike in such a situation. Under a great deal of stress he gets overwhelmed with negative thoughts and possibilities. As an optimistic individual who lives in the world of possibilities, negative possibilities do not sit well with him. In an effort to combat these thoughts, he's likely to come up with simple, global statements to explain away the problem. These simplistic explanations may or may not truly get to the nature of the issue, but they serve him well by allowing him to get over it.
